If you guys have never seen this book, you should check it out. We've had this one around the house for a while, and I just saw it again recently. I love this book. It's about how to be creative and the creative life, and it all started with the author, Hugh MacLeod sketching on the backs of business cards.
The title is just the beginning:
I know it's a little extreme, but there is some truth in that, no??
I'll be sharing some of the other sketches and sayings from his book in the future.
In other news, I'm still slowly working on some clay at my table in the house. The studio has been held up with permitting problems with our county. Fun paperwork kind of stuff. Ick. But hopefully soon, I'll have some pics to share...
Hope everyone is well!! ~Kelly

A peek into my Sketchbook - Faces
Hello Hello!
I know I've been absent so much over the past few months, but I have a very good, and cute, reason. Her name is Finley and she's almost 3 months old! Time is flying by and things are starting to settle down into a nice routine. I've even started to have some creative time again. Not much, of course, but a little here and there when the girls are sleeping. I have to let the dishes or the laundry pile up in order to create, but sometimes, that's just fine by me :)
So I've had a chance to do a little sketching in my journal with conte crayons. I've never used them until now, so I've had fun just playing with them! They are so soft and lovely to work with...
In this last one, I used two shades of brown conte crayons, and all of these are done on watercolor paper. I still have to add some text to this brown one, but I wanted to share the face with you now.
Have a happy, art-filled weekend!
Love,
Kelly
