Art Journaling

I've recently started doing "art journaling" which for me is a perfect fit. I love color so much, and I enjoy doodling, and this is a more creative way to keep a journal. I'm playing with lots of different techniques and color combos, and having SO much fun. I wanted to share this one page with you all...

  2. Hi Kelly, so nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I've enjoyed looking over your blog, you're an awesome potter! I really like your bird ladies. I've always wanted to try my hand at pottery. I'm sorry for the loss of your mother, that's so hard. I'm sure she's watching over you. ♥
Looking forward to getting to know you in class.:)

  4. Hey guys, Thanks for the positive feedback! I am also new to art journaling, and was a wee bit nervous about putting this online, so thanks for the kind words. There are folks who do a killer job with their journals, and mine is just so basic. But it is working for me.
It is a moleskin journal that I got from Barnes & Noble, the "artist sketchbook" type (they have a gazillion different types to choose from) and I used watersoluble crayons, colored pencils and a PITT pen for the text.
I have found that using this art journal, as compared to writing just words, is SO much more satisfying for me. Since I am so visual, this is a better combo for me. I can play with color, and doodle and make pretty pictures instead of trying to capture it all with words... so difficult for me to do....
    But thanks again!
